Welcome to the world of ’en Joy Cabaret & Showcase Events

Each year, our classes take to the stage for a fun, feel-good evening of performance, music, lights, costumes and community spirit — showcasing what we get up to every day at ’en Joy Dance Fitness Studio.

Our showcases are absolutely not about perfection or polished professional performances… they’re about confidence, friendship, creativity, stepping outside your comfort zone and, most importantly, having an amazing time together. Our Cabaret nights have become some of the most special events in the ’en Joy calendar.

“When the studio sleeps… we come alive!”

This year’s showcase theme is NOCTURNE — inspired by after-dark energy, atmosphere, confidence and transformation.

Whether you’ve been dancing with us for years or have only recently joined the studio, everyone is welcome to take part. There’s no pressure for perfection — just lots of encouragement, support, laughter and unforgettable memories.

Taking part in Nocturne, our 2026 Showcase

Please register as a participant via the form below. This is important so that we have a register of all our performers, along with emergency contact details, etc, all in one place. It also helps us plan and get the relevant information out to the right people.

It would also be great if you can join either of our online groups, whichever is easiest for you; the one right here on the website (FORUMS | 'en Joy Dance Fitness) or the Facebook group ('en Joy dance fitness showcase participants | Facebook) which are both full of info, discussions and updates!

I confirm that the health information I have previously provided to ’en Joy remains accurate, or that I have informed Helen of any relevant changes. I will participate within my own abilities, follow safety instructions and stop if I feel unwell, experience pain or believe it is unsafe to continue.

I agree to follow reasonable instructions from the ’en Joy team, and to behave respectfully towards other participants and audience members. I will arrive sober and not participate while impaired by alcohol or other substances.

I understand that every reasonable effort will be made to provide a safe and enjoyable rehearsal and performance environment, but that participation in physical activity carries an inherent risk of injury (including slips, trips, falls, strains and other accidental injury), particularly in live performance with props, costumes, changes of level, backstage movement and unfamiliar flooring or spacing.

I understand that taking part requires reasonable commitment to my normal classes (plus rehearsals and personal practice where possible or required). If I am not sufficiently familiar with the routine to perform it safely on stage, the routine leader may adapt my role or ask me not to perform that particular routine.

I understand that personal belongings are brought to the event at my own risk and will leave any valuables with my guest in the audience to look after while I am performing.

I understand that the Cabaret and some rehearsals will be photographed and filmed. As this is a live group production, it is not possible to exclude individual performers from the recording, and acceptance of this is a condition of taking part. I acknowledge that selected photographs and performance clips may be used by ’en Joy Dance Fitness to celebrate and promote the Cabaret, its classes and future events.

This year, we’d love our Cabaret to shine a little light beyond the stage by supporting a charity that means something special to our community.

Please nominate a local or national charity close to your heart, and tell us a little about why you’ve chosen it. We’ll gather the suggestions, create a shortlist, and then everyone will have the chance to vote for the charity Nocturne will support.
